Black Sabbath in Birmingham

Well, I can say that this is a dream come true.
When people ask me which bands I've never seen playing live, I often answer: Van Halen, Mercyful Fate and Black Sabbath. Well, I actually have seen Black Sabbath under the name Heaven & Hell, with Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinnie Appice on drums. I also have to admit that the Black Sabbath albums with Dio are my favourite Black Sabbath albums.
Still, I've never seen the band with the legendary line-up that started it all. Well, the band reunited in 2012 and scheduled a European tour. But sadly Tony Iommi has been fighting against cancer and the tour had to be cancelled.

Only the show at the Download Festival was mantained. Later, a show in the Chicago was added.

Just a few weeks ago, a new concert was announced: an intimate show in Birmingham, the band's home town. It certainly will be the most special one, for 3 reasons:
- It's the first concert since the reunion
- It's the only indoors gig
- They're playing their hometown

We found a reasonably priced plane ticket with flybe so we're going there with one of my best friends! We have no ticket for the show, but we hope we will make it!

Wish us luck! It will be a total adventure! I hope we will get in! I'll keep you updated about the setlist and will bring you some pictures! All this will be available here: Black Sabbath reunion concert in Birmigham

Cheers!
